About Open House Brisbane

Celebrating good design, quality architecture and our city’s rich heritage Brisbane Open House promotes a greater appreciation of Brisbane’s built environment and invites you to learn more about our subtropical city with a perfect climate and its own distinct architectural style. Brisbane Open House gives us the opportunity to broaden our awareness of the importance of architecture, engineering and design; it educates and inspires discussion and showcases outstanding new work and historic sites. Join us on the weekend of Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October to discover and celebrate Brisbane’s amazing architecture and hidden treasures as we open the doors to a multitude of contemporary, historic, and environmentally significant buildings to everyone – all for free. From historic landmarks and sustainable skyscrapers, to private homes and grand public spaces, Brisbane Open House gives you rare access and insights into the extraordinary architecture which defines Brisbane. This year the Brisbane Open House program will include the Speaker Series, photographic competition, walking tours, talks, concerts and the children’s program.
