Yrjö Kukkapuro is one of the most famous Finnish furniture designers. His studio Ateljee Kukkapuro, built in 1968-69 of concrete, steel and glass, has been the home and workspace of Yrjö and graphic artist Irmeli Kukkapuro for decades. The studio is located in a private grove in Kauniainen, a small town in Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Evoking the architectural charm of the 1960s, the studio has become an international attraction.

In the video, designers Yrjö Kukkapuro and Eero Paloheimo guide us through the building. Video in Finnish with English subtitles.

Video production: Aivopesula.com in collaboration with Open House Helsinki.
