About Open House Málaga

Malaga is a city in permanent growth, that has become a landmark on an international scale. It is becoming more popular every year, consolidating itself as an emerging city with great quality of life,  where many professionals choose to live and to work remotely. 

Malaga has a unique way of living; it is a place where life flows between the sea and the city, through its streets. Open House Málaga festival supports the idea that Malaga it's a city that you get to discover by walking, emphasized by the new promenade on the coast and other great urban transformations that have been developed over the last years. 

This festival aims to bring the architects and inhabitants closer to each other, to support interaction and open up discussion about the future of a very dynamic city that is growing and has been constantly changing over the last decade. Malaga hosted its first Open House event in 2021,  receiving an incredible welcome from more than 8,000 attendants, who are already counting the days until the next edition. 

Thanks to our volunteers, professionals, and the support of the universities, the festival program allows the story of Malaga to be told from its past to its present, sharing secret spots in the city center as well as revealing mysteries from buildings that aren't usually accessible to the public. We open a  great variety of commercial buildings, private houses and patios, highlights in the history of Malaga’s architecture, and state-of-the-art contemporary buildings. 

Open House invites people to discover a unique city and to experience its architecture in November every year.
