OPEN HOUSE BRISBANE
27-28 AUGUST

Open House Brisbane is introducing two new exciting elements to this year's festival. Firstly, as a prelude to the primary weekend, you can visit the beautiful bayside suburbs of Sandgate and Shorncliffe, part of the community-based Villages of Brisbane event on 21 August. Secondly, the main Open House Weekend will now celebrate a different iconic precinct every year. This year's focus is the Fish Lane Arts Precinct in South Brisbane.

OPEN HOUSE ESSEN
27-28 AUGUST

Essen was named European Capital of Culture in 2010 and European Green Capital in 2017 and is the tenth largest city in Germany. Green City, the focus of the second edition of Open House Essen, invites visitors to explore the relationship between nature and architecture and get to know sustainable initiatives created by citizens. If you can't make it to Essen, you will have an opportunity to explore the city virtually (VR glasses optional).
