OPEN HOUSE PRAHA
16-22 MAY
The 8th edition of Open House Prague is dedicated to commemorating the birth of several significant architects who were active in the region, such as the 150th anniversary of the birth of Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik. Events marking the occasion include a guided tour of one of the most remarkable sacral buildings in Czechia, the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord in the Vinohrady district.
OPEN HOUSE GDYNIA
20-22 MAY
Return to Eden, the theme of the 2022 edition of Open House Gdynia, pays homage to nostalgic times when we thought everything was possible. More than 50 events, including tours of private homes and hidden treasures, open-air concerts, and lectures, will be offered. Highlights include tours of photographer Michal Algebra's home, the post-war modernist YMCA building, and Bankowiec—a staple modernist tenement building.
OPEN HOUSE ROMA
21-22 MAY
Explore the incredible architecture and design of contemporary structures, historical buildings, and private houses of Rome at the 10th edition of Open House Roma. The highlights include the park and solar tower of villa Mellini (headquarter of the astronomical observatory), San Michele tower in Ostia, Angelini headquarters, Palazzo Piacentini on via Veneto, Forte Pietralata, and the former pasta factory of Pantanella.
ODPRTE HIŠE SLOVENIJE
27-29 MAY
Themed Architecture in the new reality, this year's festival gives participants the opportunity to see the Novo Brdo residential neighbourhood in Ljubljana, the renovated Štanjel Castle and Rihemberk Castle, the Slovenj Gradec School Centre, the Library of the Faculty of Health Sciences in Maribor, and the Damir Feigel Library in Gorizia. Don't miss the guided tours focusing on the cultural heritage of architect Jože Plečnik in Ljubljana.
OPEN HOUSE BRNO
28 MAY-5 JUNE
Join Open House Brno for a behind-the-scenes look at four iconic hotels, take candle-lit night tours of gardens and secession villas, learn about how architecture meets the art of music, attend workshops focused on recycling and industrial architecture and much more. This year’s theme is Old and New, contrasting socialist realism and brutalist architecture with contemporary modern buildings in the city.
OPEN HOUSE VILNIUS
28-29 MAY
Open House Vilnius opens more than 50 exceptional buildings for tours and exploration. Highlights include Teatras Vilniaus klasika ir Tsekh meno galerija (Vilnius Classical Theatre and TSEKH Art Gallery), which are housed in one of the most markedly changed buildings in Vilnius; Nacionaline dailes galerija (National Gallerry of Art), whose clean and timeless forms are reminiscent of advertising screens; and Viesbutis Grata by Centrum Hotels (Grata Hotel), whose iconic colorful postmodern interiors will soon be undergoing renovations.
