More than 150 free events will be offered during the three-day festival. In addition to tours of historic and contemporary buildings, participants can drop in to film screenings, an exhibition about creative and practical housing solutions, join boat tours of Dublin Port, and even experience a site-specific theatre performance about family history and brutalist architecture.

Can’t make it to Chicago? Throughout the month of October, you can enjoy a suite of virtual programs including tours, screenings, and conversations with design experts, historians, and community leaders.

Get to know the Estonian capital’s architecture with Open House Tallinn this October. Interested in exploring Tallinn’s cultural institutions? Visit the Estonian National Opera, Kultuurikatel Creative Hub, and Tallinn School of Music. Want to examine industrial complexes undergoing transformation? Don’t miss Fahle Park, Krull’s Quarter, and Põhjala Factory. Prefer a deep dive into corridors of power? Tour Toompea Castle and Pikk Hermann, the Swedish Embassy, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building on Iceland Square with the unique Kilukarbi Hall.
