Explore Open House Festivals in Santiago, Athens, Slovenia & Oslo this April

OH! STGO RURAL
SANTIAGO, CHILE
3-13 APRIL

OH! Stgo Rural is a special edition of Open House Santago that extends the Open House experience to rural spaces of the Metropolitan Region to showcase the architecture, practices, and landscapes critical to the sustainability of the communities that manage them. OH! Stgo Rural spotlights how rural regions are dynamic spaces undergoing global transformations similar to cities by exploring topics of agricultural production, food security, drinking water supply, energy production, and technological innovation with 30 destinations across 18 communas (boroughs).

OPEN HOUSE ATHENS
ATHENS, GREECE
5-6 APRIL

This year's theme, Future Heritage – The Architecture of Today, the Heritage of Tomorrow, explores the topic across four categories: Preserved Heritage, which highlights buildings of historical value that maintain their original form; Transformation, focusing on restored or redesigned buildings repurposed for new uses; Sustainable Design, showcasing contemporary buildings that integrate eco-friendly technologies and materials; and Innovation Cluster, which includes modern workspaces that redefine design practices and sustainability. In addition to building tours, special activities on offer include Open Walks, the Open Photo competition, and Made in Athens, which highlights local production processes.

OPEN HOUSE SLOVENIA
VARIOUS CITIES, SLOVENIA
11-13 APRIL

Open House Slovenia also explores the theme of Future Heritage by spotlighting outstanding renovation projects, cultural landmarks, and construction sites of libraries, cultural centres, and youth hubs across Slovenia. A special series of tours celebrates the legacies of Slovenian architects Maks Fabiani and Milan Mihelič, offering deeper insights into their iconic contributions. More than 70 architectural projects and walks will be included, with more than 40 opening their doors to the festival public for the first time.

OPEN HOUSE OSLO
OSLO, NORWAY
25-27 APRIL

More than 70 private homes and public buildings will open their doors to the public during this year's Open House Oslo. The programme places a special focus on female architects, marking 50 years since the UN's International Women's Year. Among them, particular attention will be given to the work of renowned architect Kari Nissen Brodtkorb, recognised as one of Norway's leading housing designers.
