INSPIRE FUTURE GENERATION AWARDS

Created by Open City (London) founder Victoria Thornton, the Inspire Future Generation Awards recognizes people and initiatives globally working with young people to help them engage and advocate for a better built environment.

Past award winners include ‘Youth Manifesto! Architecture in a Climate Crisis,’ which was created by Open House Dublin and the Irish Architecture Foundation for the 2020 Open House Worldwide Festival.

GEOFFREY BAWA TRUST
Receives Graham Foundation Grant

Geoffrey Bawa Trust and Open House Colombo curator Shayari de Silva are a grantee of a Graham Foundation Grant for Drawing from the Geoffrey Bawa Archives (Lars Müller Publishers, 2022) an upcoming publication about the late Sri Lankan architect’s practice. Open House Columbo's first edition on September 24 and October 1 unlocks buildings by Bawa and his contemporaries Justin Samarasekera, Minnette de Silva, Panini Tennekoon, and Valentine Gunasekara to understand design specificities of Sri Lanka at the time.
