Open House Tallinn went ahead as normal over the weekend of July 11-12 this year, with 30 buildings opened up to the public. Highlights included the Tallinn City Hall building which, despite its prominent position at the harbour in the heart of the city, has been empty since the early-2000s.

The former-Patarei Prison was another popular spot. Originally built in the early-19th century, the complex is currently being converted to hold offices and a museum.
