The second edition of Open Hose Zagreb explores several themes. "Revitalization of Architectural Heritage" focuses on the restoration of public and private spaces damaged by recent earthquakes, including iconic sites like the Art Pavilion and Ruđer Bošković Institute. Another theme celebrates Viktor Kovačić, a key figure in Croatian modern architecture, showcasing works like House Frank and the St. Blaž church. The “Urban Entity” segment highlights unique areas such as Vukovar Street and the Cvjetno district. Special events include talks with architects who shaped the city's design, with guidance from experts in architecture and urban planning.

OPEN HOUSE NAPOLI
NAPLES, ITALY

New experiences await participants of Open House Napoli, from a full day of conferences and exhibitions addressing the city’s urban challenges to a selection of inclusive and accessible tours in partnership with the municipal “Capability Festival.”

The programme includes over 140 buildings, walks, and activities for children. Don't miss Aldo Loris Rossi’s brutalist Casa del Portuale; Gio Ponti’s 1950s original furniture at the Royal Continental Hotel; the renowned Metro Art-Stations with monumental artworks by Anish Kapoor, Rebecca Horn, and Peter Greenaway; Spazio Obù, a social regeneration project in a 16th-century abandoned monastery; and private homes by up-and-coming Neapolitan architects and designers.

OPEN HOUSE GDANSK
GDANSK, POLAND

This year’s Open House Gdańsk invites visitors to experience both historic and futuristic architecture. Among the city’s celebrated landmarks, Stadium Lechia is a beloved cultural icon opened in 1927 and built on a former military site. A special lecture by architect and analogue astronaut Wiktoria Dziaduła at Hevelianum will introduce the fascinating world of space architecture, covering designs for lunar bases, Martian habitats, showing how innovations in space may inspire solutions for life on Earth.

OPEN HOUSE NEW YORK
NEW YORK, UNITED STATES

The 2024 edition of Open House New York opens 270+ places for behind-the-scenes tours and special access at skyscrapers, power plants, artist studios, and everything in between. Most of the lineup is open access, which allows visitors to drop in during open hours. Open access highlights include the historic Ford Foundation in Midtown, the Manhattan Borough President’s Map Display in the Civic Center, Powerhouse Arts in Gowanus, and Sunset Park Material Recovery Facility in Sunset Park.

OPEN HOUSE CHICAGO
CHICAGO, UNITED STATES

This weekend, Open House Chicago is opening over 170 sites across 20 neighbourhoods, including 25 new additions. Highlights include the restored Ramova Theatre, historic Chess Studio, and Bronzeville’s Al-Sadiq Mosque. Special activities on offer include hands-on mosaic-making workshops, paper marigold crafting, and lively drop-in salsa lessons.

A new photo competition invites attendees to capture festival moments. Selected entries will be showcased in the "Framed Views: OHC Photography" exhibition in November.
